While the musical is about a Jewish family, the music describes Rose's experiences, family values, and legacies that could represent any family.
The music is written by Karen Sokolof Javitch with lyrics by Javitch and Joanie Jacobson. Musical arrangements for "From Generation to Generation" are by Chuck Penington of Mannheim Steamroller.
